The King of Kong
Just been watching The King of Kong. The story of the battle for the world record high score on the arcade / video game Donkey Kong. Steve Wiebe needs something to occupy his time and to excel at and Donkey Kong is what he gets into. The existing world record holder is Billy Mitchell and he tries to hold the challenger at bay.
Steve Wiebe has to be one of the nicest guys in the world, though he can get a bit fixated. The gaming authorities are slow to recognise he talent and honesty and Steve has to work hard not just to get great scores but also to get his efforts recognised on a playing field that seems far from fair.
Probably don't need to watch it twice but once was great.
I certainly don't want to get sucked into the world of chasing high scores on an arcade game so if any ever sees me about to put a coin in Donkey Coin, do what you can to stop me.
