what are the factors that affect behaviour

What a huge and complex subject, people have written large books on this subject. For me however I am not sure how helpful a big thick book is. It would be better to have something helpful even if it wasn't the whole picture.

So what would be helpful? A simple list that may be right some of the time. Wonder if this is even close:

  1. What we decide to do, cognitive choices
  2. Habits / routines
  3. Feelings
  4. Beliefs
  5. Values
  6. Information coming through our senses at any moment
  7. Memories
  8. Our goals
  9. Skills and abilities
  10. State
  11. Physiology

There's quite a lot there, not sure if that is at 'helpfu'l level yet.
